Unlike most gyms, we actually care when you can’t come in to class. You’re more than a number or another “customer” to us. We are all together on this journey to become healthier and fitter and we simply love doing life together.
I grew up in Mesa, AZ and played football growing up. I am pretty sure that every single bone in my body is competitive. I think it is important to find an avenue that helps to push you to be the best you and Crossfit was just that for me. Crossfit has added so much to my life but not just on a fitness level. The community and sense of camaraderie has been a pleasant surprise. Everyone, regardless of the experience or fitness level is supportive and encouraging of each other. More importantly, to be able to surround yourself with like-minded people just makes sense.
My better half, Angela, is very much a part of the business and helps facilitate behind the scenes logistics of our business. She and I have 6 kids between the two of us and we do our best to be role models to our children. We are very fortunate to be able to show them an active lifestyle is a great way to live and push yourself.
Owning Crossfit LT has been one of the most rewarding decisions I have ever made. To be able to coach the members, encourage them and see how much dedication and hard work pays off is why I get up every day. I do my best to create a positive environment for our members and our coaches. At the end of the day, if I help one person feel better and become healthier than that is all I can ask for.
My passion is helping our clients with their nutrition. After owning the gym for as long as we have, we continue to see our members walk through the door and give the WOD their all. Most often, clients were left to feel frustrated with their performance, perhaps their lack of physical changes and more importantly their energy and overall health. We love helping people reach their fullest potential and quite truthfully if our nutrition isn’t where it needs to be, our potential can be hindered. I am Precision Nutrition Level 1 certified and I offer online nutrition coaching to our members as well as our clients who are not members of the gym. I love helping people discover a healthier way to look at food and more importantly to help them feel better both in and outside of the gym!
Growing up in Maine I would say I was athletic but not overly fit playing football and basketball in high school and doing just enough in the off-season to make the team and play decent. After high school I missed the team and competition feel team sports give you. I disliked basic gyms and kinda became a runner to stay in shape and not much else. In 2005 I moved to AZ and got a job in corrections.
Although I could usually hold my own in there I had some close calls and needed to put on some more muscle. My wife introduced my to CrossFit Lifetime in 2009 just after they moved to the current location and I was hooked after my 1st week. Been lucky enough to coach at LT from 2012 to 2015 when I moved back to Maine for two years. Coached in Maine at Back Cove CrossFit which helped me grow as a coach and person greatly. Moved back in February of 2018. Glad to be back where I started. Excited to help, learn and be apart of this awesome community again!
I was born and raised in Texas. I graduated from ENMU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Any electives that were required were always fitness related. I have always worked out and spent time in the gym regularly. Crossfit became my passion in 2012. That’s when I actually started seeing results in my body and strength that I never knew I could obtain. I have had the opportunity to compete in 9 competitions throughout the years with one 1st place podium. I fell in love with its diversity, intensity, and community. Every workout leaves me challenged both physically and mentally. something I have yet to find in any other fitness endeavor. As a coach, I am grateful to witness how Crossfit empowers, inspires, and motivates the athletes who come through our doors. My goal is to inspire others to challenge their physical limits and feel accomplished in addition to building lasting friendships. I would have to say the pleasure and excitement that I gain from helping someone meet their goals or watching a PR is over the top. I believe everyone has an athlete in them and we will unleash it together.
